Update: Reality and Sanity

I’m scrapping the schedule of uploading a new music piece every other Wednesday. There. I said it. I’m not beating around the bush with this post, because I detest posting these sorts of updates in the first place.

The truth is, I’ve become more focused on meeting my own deadlines than on the quality of my work, while simultaneously refusing to release a piece until I’m satisfied with the product. So, why lead you guys to believe I stick to a schedule when I only do so if my work is up to snuff by the time to due date rolls around? It’s unfair to you people who are kind enough to enjoy and support my work. Also, the quality of my work is incontestably more important.

Also, with this restriction lifted, I feel like I can breathe again. I’m currently unemployed, and part of the reason I haven’t been as fervent about finding a job is because I don’t want to disappoint you by not sticking to my word. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that I’m already doing that. With some money in my pocket, I can continue promoting my material through things like Radio Airplay and Facebook Business, and not have to feel like I have to pull some desperate publicity stunt just to generate some cash flow from my music.

As tired and as beaten down as I feel, I’m not backing down! Full-time musicianship is still very much something that I strive toward, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m just adjusting my vision a bit to line up with reality, and to preserve my sanity. Hope to hear from you guys soon, and I hope you all have an awesome day.
